Aurigny Air Services

From small beginnings

OK, it's not the easiest of names, but it's certainly one that islanders are proud of. 'Aurigny' is the Norman name for Alderney, the northern Channel Isle, where Aurigny Air Services was launched in 1968.

Owned by The States of Guernsey (Guernsey’s Government) Aurigny employs around 250 staff throughout the Channel Islands and UK, and is based near Guernsey airport. The airline carried its 11 millionth passenger in 2012. The network of scheduled services between Guernsey, Jersey and Alderney, and to destinations in the UK and Continental Europe, provide a lifeline for the local communities and their thriving business and tourism sectors.

Role: Director

Background: I started out as a ski rep many moons ago  - I went for one season and stayed in the Alps for 16 years before coming back to the UK. I've worked in France, Austria, Slovenia and Switzerland (and even one ski season in Australia) and have done most resort jobs at some point or other   - chalet host, rep, kiddie rep, resort manager, kitchen porter, airport and transfer rep.....More recently I worked as general manager for Crystal Active Holidays and since 2008 have been here at Zenith.

Winter - Skiing in Risoul - I did my second season here and fell in love with the Southern French Alps. The locals are friendly, the scenery is fantastic and it's a great ski area.

Spring - can't decide between cycling ( Atlantic coast/Loire Valley) and Slovenia - I adore Slovenia - fabulous activities (Soca valley) , amazing Spas (Olimia and Catez and my favourite capital city in the word - Ljubljana

Summer - Surfing and cycling off the southwest coast of France.

Autumn: - Iceland although I have yet to see the Northern Lights....need to go back as there is so much to see & do there

Title: Reservations Manager

Background:I spent 12 years working in special needs schools including an outdoor education department which I enjoyed immensely. I then took a few years away travelling and working as a nanny overseas in US, Canada, Bahamas, Israel and Europe, also spent a ski season as a senior nanny in Courchevel for Ski esprit.

Went into the travel industry in 2005 working for Gap Year for Grown Ups and then Crystal Active Holidays and Club Vass where I met Katie and Stuart,  joining them at the beginning of Zenith in 2009.
Winter: Morzine and Les Gets, great ski runs with plenty more in the Portes du Soleil and you can't beat the great atmosphere of the town.
Late Spring: Cycling the Danube, the bike and boat from Passau to Vienna was fantastic.
Summer:Slovenia, such a beautiful country, including the Julian Alps with with plenty of different activities to take part in.
Jersey and Guernsey are also 2 of my favourite places to visit in the summer.

Title: Product admin

Background: After leaving university I did a season as a resort rep in Kaprun, Austria which I thoroughly enjoyed.  I went on to work for KPMG in their training department organising conferences and then as an Account Manager for Initial Style Conferences.  After taking a break to have a family I have come back to the travel industry.

As a family we love to ski each year and try new resorts.  We are also fairly active and adventurous and enjoy a lot of the Summer activities Zenith have to offer including cycling, hiking and messing about in the water.

Winter favourite: Montgenevre in the glorious sunshine following my 6 year old ski down a blue run for the first time so happily that he sung Bruno Mars all the way to the bottom!

Title: I am the office dog

Role: Key role is to keep the team smiling and, dare I say, I am pretty good at that.

Some say they are laughing at me not doing stairs and sleeping on the sofa for much of the day.....I say, they work too hard and I have the balance about right.....

Have a lovely holiday and if you need any advice about travelling with your pet to Europe, Katie can tell you about all the necessary jabs, tablets and processes as we do the trip often.

If your pet wants to ask me directly, I can be found on facebook at
